SOS-UK in partnership with Smart Energy GB will be running a Smart Meter Action Week on our social media channels between the 15th-19th of November 2021. We have a range of activities planned that will get you thinking and learning about energy use, smart meters, bills, and sustainability whilst renting. For example, you can learn about how, with the help of a smart meter and the in-home display that shows you how much energy you are using in near real-time, you can stay on top of your energy use and bills. Being aware of the resources you’re using means you are one step closer to being able to easily make sustainable choices around your home.

Getting involved in the week of action will not only be educational – you'll also be able to win prizes for taking part, so it’s definitely worth it! Depending on the day, there will be vouchers, hampers and starter kits for a sustainable cleaning company, worth from £15 to £35 each! Make sure to follow SOS-UK at @sosuk_charity to find out which prizes are available on which day 😉

💡 Get your friends excited about smart meters – with a grant! 💡

We have microgrants of up to £50 each available to support your ideas to share the benefits of smart meters with your friends! The application form is open and closes at 12:00 on the 19th of November 2021. Winners will be announced on the 26th of November 2021, and will have until 23:59 on the 9th of December 2021 to implement their activities and submit their proof and reach. You will be provided with guidance to help with key messaging. The terms and conditions of the grants are available here.
