Get involved in the SOS-UK COP26 Action Week!

November 1, 2021

At COP26 we want the UK to commit to taking ambitious action to reduce the rate of the climate crisis. We also know that action needs to happen at the local, regional, national, and international level, and many people involved in our work play a key role in that through local positive action. We wanted to recognise and platform some of this important work through our COP26 action week!

Our COP26 action week is running 1st - 7th November 2021. We are calling on all those involved in our work to share an action that you or your team is taking by commenting on any of our COP26 competition social media posts from 11am on Mon 1st Nov. Whether you're aiming to learn more, raise awareness, lobby for changes or carrying out practical sustainability actions, we want to capture the breadth of action that is happening on-the-ground within our institutions and community organisations alongside COP26 in Glasgow. No matter what area of our work you're involved in, or whether you're a member of staff, officer or student, let us know what you're doing for the chance to win!

Enter on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. One individual winner (£15) and one team winner (£35) will be picked at random from across all of SOS-UK's social media accounts on 8th November to win. You can double your chances by sharing a photo too, via direct message, email (learningacademy@sos-uk.org) or by tagging SOS-UK in your post.

On 30th November, we will be holding a national webinar, 'What happened at COP26?', where we'll discuss some of the outcomes of COP26, and share examples of some of the on-the-ground action happening across SOS-UK programmes. If you are taking part in one of our projects or campaigns, you can register for free on Action Network here.

You can see what else we have going on throughout COP26 in our 'Join us at COP26' article here.
