July 26, 2021

Join us at the RED WoLF summer school virtual conference on 5th and 6th August 2021, where interdisciplinary groups of students will present their solutions to challenges related to renewable energy.

More than 100 students came together from different institutions to problem-solve challenges set to them by RED WoLF project partners. RED WoLF is an Interreg North-West Europe funded project which is tackling housing emissions through AI-driven smart renewables. SOS-UK is a project partner for RED WoLF, working to engage students with the project, and the summer school forms an important part of RED WoLF’s student engagement work.

The summer school has been running June-August2021, and has been an opportunity for students from all disciplines to come together to develop creative solutions to real-world sustainability challenges, whilst developing their knowledge around sustainability solutions and building professional and academic skills.

The virtual conference concludes the summer school and will be held via zoom. The conference will feature 15 student presentations on topics including marketing low carbon energy technologies, engaging residents, optimising home battery performance and the impact of weather on energy solutions. The conference will run over two days: 5th and 6thAugust 2021, 10:00 – 14:00 BST both days (with breaks built in).

We are opening up the conference to anybody who is interested in hearing the students’ project outcomes. You will be able to hear the presentations and provide feedback or ask questions. Tickets are available for free on the Eventbrite page, with the option to register for one or both days of the conference.
