VACANCY: Bristol Schools Project Coordinator

We are looking for a new Bristol Schools Project Coordinator to engage secondary school students in meaningful climate action.

This role includes work on the Blue Influencers Scheme, a match-funded programme for environmental youth social action, funded by The Ernest Cook Trust and the #iwill Fund. The mission of the Blue Influencers Scheme is to assist young people (target age 10-14 year olds) from coastal river and estuarine communities to create deep, lasting and meaningful connections with the natural environment and with their local communities and to embed a culture where youth social action becomes the norm.

This role will also be working to provide support across SOS-UK’s education work, including our Green Schools Revolution work. The role holder will work collaboratively with the education senior project managers to ensure project managers are supported with high-quality delivery of campaign, project and programme outputs and outcomes.

This role will work on a variety of projects, all aiming to empower young people to undertake climate action and move towards sustainability.

The #iwill Fund is made possible thanks to £66million joint investment from The National Lottery Community Fund and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) to support young people to access high quality social action opportunities. The Ernest Cook Trust is acting as a matchfunder and awarding grants on behalf of the #iwill Fund. The Ernest Cook Trust’s vision is for an environmentally engaged society with increased connections to nature.
